As a student in the North Syracuse school district I have been taking photography courses for four years. My journey into photography started when I needed to fulfill my freshman art requirement. However once I picked up a camera for my first ever assignment, I couldn't put it down. Photography has always been a outlet for my creativity. It is a space that transcends the realness of the world. With photography I can make the world into whatever I would like. It has taught me the importance of form and precision in society. With photography it is imperative that you have some knowledge of form and how lines react within a given space. In real life this detail may seem mundane, but having a knowledge of how things interact to form an image gives you perspective. Perspective on situations that otherwise may be overlooked. It has taught me to search for beauty in every aspect of life, no matter how small. The simple action of wind blowing a tumbleweed down the street, or the buzzing of a bee near the nectar of a flower, can create a marvelous showing. One with limitless possibility. If we only take the time to stop and look. It is powerful, and it has changed the perspective I have on actions in the world.
