Artificial intelligence (AI) is one of the technologies that is expected to cause a sea change in the way humans interact with each other and their environment. Most countries are at present developing research programmes to contribute to this new wave of technical innovation. Chile's scientific community should be part of such process, which is why one of the next Thinking Chile seminars is going to be focused on AI.

We welcome submission for oral presentation and poster for the track of Artificial Intelligence. The topic of the track is artificial intelligence in its broader sense and it welcomes empirical and theoretical research. We encourage researchers from different disciplines that relate to AI as part of its research even when it is not the main focus of their subject.

A goal of the seminar is to draft a set of recommendations for the debate of the development of a national strategy around artificial intelligence as a public policy. As AI is one of the most important technology for the future of developed societies, we want to set Chile at the same level of other developing countries that have already published navigation routes toward the fair use of AI for societal development. Researchers from areas related to public policies are especially encouraged to participate in the seminar.
