Tonight during our City Council meeting, we discussed updates to our 2 year policy agenda, and I realized that people may not know what it is or why it is so important.
In 2024, we took a major step forward as a community. After months of thoughtful input and engagement from residents, we transformed the results of our community-wide Visioning Process into a bold, two-year Strategic Plan. This ambitious plan is not only guiding the work of City Council and staff—it’s actively shaping the future of Worthington.
Working together, City Council reviewed and sequenced key initiatives—drawing from the Vision Implementation Teams, the Age-Friendly Action Plan, the draft Northeast Area Plan, and other ongoing efforts. With the support of our dedicated staff, we have clear timelines and priorities through 2026. Action items are grouped into Do Now and Do Next categories, helping us stay focused and accountable.
This is more than a plan—it’s a promise to move Worthington forward, grounded in the values and voices of our community. We review and track progress on the Policy Agenda at the second City Council meeting each month, ensuring that this is a living document, responsive to changing needs and opportunities.
