In November 2024, local Canadian historian, journalist, author and resident of Bloor West Village, historian Christopher Moore connected with Project Coordinator, Katy Whitfield to inquire if he could write an article about how grassroots organizations are doing "remembrance." A year later, in the October/November issue of "Canada's History Magazine" titled, "Revitalizing Remembrance", a beautifully written article entitled, "Remembrance Day Project-Keeping memories alive" tells the story of our amazing community project.
Here is a link to the online version of the article through Canada's History Magazine: https://www.canadashistory.ca/explore/military-war/remembrance-day-project
The magazine can also be found on the shelves of your local bookstore if you subscribe to the magazine, it is on pages 28-35. You can also access it through the Canada's History app on a mobile device.
Thank you so much to Canada's History magazine and the wonderful Christopher Moore for sharing our story from coast-to-coast-to coast in such a beautiful and thought-provoking way! You have put "They walked these streets... We will remember them" on the map!
