Blog Updates!

Gaming Blog!

The gaming blog has a cool new interactive look! A lot of it is still pretty empty, but hopefully I will get to filling in some game reviews and pages soon. But I am very happy with how this turned out. I was really struggling with the best way to make this part of the website interactive.

Collection Blog!

Pokemon Cards got moved to Collections Blog! I'm hoping I can add other things her eventually like stuffed animals, D&D Minis, Anime Figures, Stickers, and other stuff!

Creation Blog!

I made a section that will eventually be a place for art, writing, and other stuff that I create. At the moment, the only thing up is the completed coloring pages page, which is all styled like a fridge!

The Shipping Department

Welcome to the shipping department! Heavily inspired by The Librarian over at the reading blog, this is an interactive Post Office where you can looking at fandom ships that I enjoy! You can ask the postal worker about whatever and see if they have something in the mail slots or in their stamp collection! Lots of the boxes and letters go to placeholders at the moment, but there are some stamps you can click on! I also am looking forward to replacing the current post office place holder with a cute drawling version that I'm commissioning from a friend.

I think that is all the website updates! I did a lot of work on it cause I kind of had a great excuse to do my own thing at work right now. I'm not sure how quickly new updates will be releasing with the new work schedule but I will try my best! I'm hoping to make more shrines next month!

This is my original wire-frame/mock-up of the Shipping Department! I really find working on paper first really helps me to figure out exactly how I want something to operator.

Events from the Month

May 1: So, my dad and step-mom adopted daughter was getting married. adopted Daughter (lets call her AD for privacy) was actually getting married relatively close to my location. So my dad reached out and asked if I wanted to see him. Somehow this turned into see the whole family: dad, step-mom, sister, grandma, AD, and all of AD's wedding folks. It was kind of a lot. Sometimes dealing with my family can be really challenging, emotionally, but everything worked out. We had dinner together and went to karaoke. It was fun!

MAy 9: Ashnikko concert! Yes two concerts in a row, it was kind of crazy. Unfortunately I didn't really have a great time, I think partly because I was not a huge fan of the Smoochie Girl album. You can read a short post about it here: LINK.
