Markings should not deliberately be used to mimic other markings. Ex: Piebald should not be centered length-wise along a croc to make it look like Overo.
Markings are allowed to be the same color as long as they follow their gene's color rules and it's clear to tell them apart.
Markings will state if they have to sit above or below other markings.
Marking nuances allow a marking to fade, not blend, into the base coat. Only a select few markings are allowed to have this nuance and the marking's page will state if this is allowed.
Free markings will state how they will lay in their description.
Coloring Markings
When coloring markings you must follow the base color rules.
For ex.
Red base = warm, neutral and brown marking colors.
Blue base = cool, neutral, and brown marking colors.
Neutral or Brown base = cool or warm color, neutral and brown marking colors.
The Rainbow gene opens up the whole pallet to the croc with no limitations except for the rules per marking.
There are markings that will override these rules, please be sure to read each marking's rules while designing.

Each marking will display a set of allowance rules.
