Free markings are meant to look blended into the coat as a birthmark or a nuance. They are not real markings and should not resemble markings.
Color Rules
Colors are derived from the base color based on the rules for each marking,
Passable genetic markings do not affect free marks.
Limits
You may not use all of the listed free markings on a croc at once, you will need to choose a combination of them based on the allowances listed below. All these markings can have a bit of shape to them.
Combo Allowances:
1 belly mark, 1 back mark, 1 pattern mark, 2 floating marks and 2 head marks
Free Markings are meant to be subtle additions to designs so they are limited to being within 20 saturation and value points from the basecoat or marking they sit ontop of. For example, if your basecoat has a saturation of 174 and a value of 171... Max Saturation 194, Min Saturation 154. Max Value 191, Min Value 151.
<----- The Example beside this is pulled off Sai and FireAlpaca the range is roughly as big as the squares on the pallets.
Head Marks

Highlights is the only free marking that can be off white with a bit of the base hue in it.
Blush is a cheek marking that creates a colorful pastel cheek.
You can choose any color off the slider or a pastel color off the base pallets.

Pattern Marks
Arrow is a marking that can be lighter or dark then the base, and needs to be seen in two locations on the croc (head, back, leg/s and tail).
This marking creates an arrow tip marking, with the max number allowed on the legs and tail being three. It cannot fill the whole area up as a solid marking. The markings thickness is up to the designer but must break into separate arrow tips.
Color must be from the base color and cannot be black or white. If laying on top of a marking it can pull its color from that marking but it must follow the same rules and must come from that color.
Ex. On a blue base, the marking cannot be green and must be blue.
Dun is a marking that is darker than the base coat. It creates a dorsal stripe down the back to the end of the tail and can have small blended socks, tail tip and shoulders with stripes within the blended areas.
The gradient sock, tail tip and shoulders cannot cover the whole section.
Color must be from the base color and cannot be black or white. If laying on top of a marking it can pull its color from that marking but follows the same rules and must come from that color.
Ex. On a blue base, the mark cannot be green and must be blue.
