Melanism is a coat modifier that cause all color to darken or blacken on a croc.
When designing your croc with melanism you may have a completely mark-less croc or a croc with faint marks in the allowed color ranges.
Crocs eyes are also affected and must be chosen from the allowed Melanism eye color range.
Pseudomelanism
Pseudomelanism is a form of melanism that can be obtain through the strange water. It may not fully turn the croc black but instead creates a black thick stripping, markings do not show through. If this covers or touches the eye the eye can have an melanism color to it or a heterochromia melanism +color to it.
Your croc can pass on the melanism gene to its offspring.
