Chimera is a base mutation giving a croc two different base colors.
The way chimera works is a second base color is rolled, parents base color does not affect this and can have any color rolled at random.
When albino/melanism affects chimera one side of chimera may be albino/melanism. If both Albino and melanism is present chimera is hidden.
Chimera is non-passable mutation.
----
We will use Kronk S016 as example
This is what you will see with a crocs gentics.
Genotype: Car + nDp, nFa, nMas, nSa, nU
Phenotype: Caramel + Diamond Back, Fade, Mask, Saddle, Underbelly
Ears: Plam
Tail: Leaf
Mutation: Chimera: (Blue)
There are two ways chimera can be designed.
Markings such and iridescent and tropical can affect one single base color or both depending on which chimera style you are useing.
Symmetrical chimera is when all the markings on the design is symmetrical but the base colors are either patchy or piebald. What ever base color is touching a part of a marking affects that part with that bases color rules.
Asymmetrical chimera is when all the markings on the design are split between the base colors. The base colors do not share the markings between them and follow their color rules.
