Hello my name is Coach Camille Kanofsky. My goal is to teach the students to teach themselves. I help the students to learn the skills to lead their own meetings, build their own solutions, use online resources to learn programming and modeling skills, and use cloud based aids to stay connected and communicate. My background is in engineering and business. This is my seventh year with FIRST, and my sixth year as Coach.
Hello. My name is Coach Lan. I am a Principal Program Manager and a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). I work with the students to help plan, track and execute deliverables. What impresses me most about Taco Terminators is the teamwork: watching them, you would never know that the kids are from several different schools and many have just met this season. This is my fifth year with FIRST.
Hello my name is Coach Robert Kanofsky. My son and wife have been involved with First Tech Robotics for 7 years. After observing the passion of the teams and their desire to learn and work together as a group for a common goal I decided to jump in and be a mentor. While Java coding is new to me, I’m hoping my learning from the beginning will be a good reference to help new coders find their path also.
Hello, my name is Coach Ray. Primarily, I assist the team with tools and safety routines when constructing the robot. This is my fifth season being on an FTC team, and it is also my fifth season mentoring as a coach. I like FTC because it helps students think creatively and encourages teamwork. My goal as a mentor is to help everyone learn something new.
Hello, my name is Coach Etsuko. I am the organizer of the team’s inventory, which includes the tools and parts of the robot. This is my fifth season being on an FTC team, and it is also my fifth season mentoring as a coach. I like FTC because I can meet new people to learn new things. I also like FTC because it helps students think outside the box when faced with a difficult problem. My goal as a mentor is to show that organization can help kids work effectively.
Hi, I'm Coach Prem! I've been a programming coach with the Taco Terminators for three years. I love helping kids bridge the gap between code and logic, empowering them to become better programmers and critical thinkers.
Hello I am Coach JD. I mainly assist with the build team and planning. This is my first season as a mentor with FTC. I enjoy working with students and getting them excited about engineering and being a part of something special.
Fun facts about our team!
We are not a school funded team, which means we all come from different schools, thus we are very diverse!
As a team, we speak more than 7 languages!
We have team members ranging from 7th to 12th grade!
We help to start and mentor other teams with OnShape and other basics of robotics!
At the end of every season, we have a taco party to celebrate our accomplishments!
We have access to 3D printing which allows us to customize our robot in an advanced way.
