We all know that videos are taking over and with Youtube now the second largest search engine (second only to Google) it is imperative that you have this content as part of your digital marketing arsenal however, I totally understand that for many reasons you may not want to be showing your face on video but that does not mean you cannot make review videos or any other type of video for that matter, you just need to utilise some of the many awesome tools out there on the market.

VIDNAMI

Okay. So the first tool that we're going to look at is a software package called Vidnami. Now Vidnami itself is essentially, a text to video creative tool. Once you log into the website you'll see there's various different types of content that are available to create, I recommend going to the course or training video option if you're looking to create more of a longer type review video, but there's also sales videos presentation videos and adverts as well - you can always choose to start from a blank page too but I recommend using a template if you're short on time.

Vidnami works essentialy by pasting in a video script (from an article etc) and it then creates scenes automatically for you with relevant images and text overlays! you are able to fully edit any part of the video, change the text or images easily and replace them from the huge library! Its super quick (watch my YouTube video above to see a live demo!) and it produces a really cool high quality video which is professional and does the job of explaining your product or offer very well!

IN-VIDEO

Our second tool is InVideo.io and I've included this basically because of how easy to use this is and how creative this is. Now, this is a tool that primarily is used for advertising. So Facebook ads, Google ads, YouTube ads, that sort of thing, but it can also be used for producing the kind of videos that we need for reviews.

It works in a similar way to Vidnami in that you can use pre-made templates and you can drag and drop content. you have scenes across the bottom, you can record a voiceover on there and you can use preloaded music as well, which is another really cool thing. And basically you just add various scenes, pre-made or blank with your own text and you can kind of build them up into a great little video.

InVideo is really intuitive, it's got a huge library of stock images and video and it's really easy to use! It's also free to try out so absolutely worth signing up for the free trial and giving it a test!

Hire A Spokesperson

This method involves hiring a spokesperson to be the face of your brand! we've already established that you probably don't want to show your own face on camera, but fortunately there's an awful lot of people who are comfortable with doing that! So you could hire someone to be the face of your brand. It maybe seems a bit obvious, but it might not be something that you've considered.

The best place I believe to find someone for this is to go on a website called fiverr.com. And you may have used this before, but if you haven't heard of it, it's essentially a huge marketplace of different services. You can get any digital creative service done there, and there are numerous options for spokesmen and women, all different ethnicities, languages and looks and they all vary in price.

The key point to remember is that this person is going to represent you and your brand/product(s) you also need to consider your end customer and pick someone who will relate best to them. For example if your customers are USA based you'd ideally want a native speaker rather than, someone for example for whom English is their second language!

Have a good look around and read reviews and watch some samples, then send a few messages out to prospects and go from there, i'd always recommend a test sample video purchase first before jumping in with a huge order to check all goes well!

Toonly

Our Next method involves using the web-based software Toonly! again it works very similar to that In-Video and VidNami software as it essentially a drag and drop content builder which you'll get a timeline and you drag and drop different elements onto the timeline and use them to create relevant videos.

This method is probably a bit more manual than others and take a little more time and effort but what Toonly does is explain and present your content in a unique style that will stand out above others! its also quite quirky and different which is often important to get your content noticed!

Toonly is a paid program. It's a one-off fee rather than a monthly subscription, but again, if you use the button just below you can get a little trial of it and give it a go to see if it works for you!

Bonus Method!

So here is a little bonus free method that I promised! and this one might seem very obvious, but it could be something that you've just overlooked. One of the easiest ways to avoid having to show your face is simply to just record your screen without having your camera on!

One of the best tools I've found for this is Loom (found at loom.com) that's what I use on the YouTube demo of this article which you can find further up the pag! Loom works as either a Chrome extension or a taskbar application and you simply just download it from loom.com and add it to your browser, then when you're ready to record, you click the button and then hit record. And you're good to go recording your screen.

You can choose your camera if you need it. Or obviously you can just tell it to record your screen if you not wanting to show your face , so it's a really powerful little tool and it's going to be great if you're demonstrating how to use a product, or for example, say, you're trying to teach someone on a video of how to do something, maybe build a word press website, for example, then just demonstrating it by showing the screen is a really good way to go.

You have to remember that a lot of customers aren't too bothered about seeing your face. They're going onto your YouTube video to learn how to do something usually, or to find out about a product. So it's really not a big deal if your face isn't there, as long as you're showing the viewer what they want and giving them the content, they're not really going to be bothered if they can't see your face!

There are also other ways to record your screen, Windows and MACs both have in-built screen recorders which could work although they aren't as slick as Loom, and there is also a video recorder option in newer version of MS PowerPoint which may work for you if you want to do a presentation style review. Equally there are a whole heap of software tools out there offering screen recording so just have a good search around until you find one you like! as I say though I love Loom personally!
