The event is organised by Matt Irvine, ex effects designer at the the BBC. It's housed in the wonderful old village hall which gives the show a unique atmosphere.

Tribute to Brian Johnson
The effects wizard who worked on (amongst other things) Thunderbirds, 2001, Space 1999, Alien and the Empire Strikes back died a few months ago . He had visited SmallSpace back in 2016 and it was fitting that a small tribute was made in the entrance to the hall.
