Journalism has brought Claudine Marchan to many places where she accumulates experiences showing her passion and devotion to the field
“I owe everything to journalism.”
Like a merchant on a journey, graceful and with a smile plastered on her face, these were the very words sincerely uttered from the woman who somehow managed to inspire campus journalists in the boot camp.
Strong and in order, many would cross paths with her and think that she is truly devoted and passionate in the press field as a coach.
Claudine B. Marchan, or known in campus as Ma'am “Clau” is just one of the former school paper advisors that somehow contributed and helped the school bring its name in glory. Not just in the Division Schools Press Conference but, also up to the Nationals

Starting off humbly in this field as a radio broadcasting coach, Ma'am Clau and her former MONHS students were able to secure a spot back in the Nationals. This however, was not the only time she won and brought Oroquieta City the bacon.
Throughout her years in the journalism field she went to many places thanks to her work. One thing she was grateful for was her trip to Subic, wherein it was her very first time to ride an airplane and travel in the parts of Luzon.

Training, traveling, and also winning, her run through this experience was a huge “give and take”.
For her, like a merchant she bargains to train and shape young minds as champions while imparting lessons to students on how serving for the truth is much more than that. And in return, journalism took her to greater heights like her promotion as a part of the Journalism Committee.

On what she said, she owes everything to journalism, which is why this is where she invests her time and energy.
Many definitely do not know that behind the Ma'am Clau we see today as someone passionate and devoted in her job is because of how this JOURNEYlism was able to repay her good as well, with lots of things and most of all memorable experiences.
