What does a doula do?
I think the role of a doula can be very confusing and can vary widely.
What my doula and wonderful friend has taught me is that, being a doula is about the connection, trust, and love.
My goal as a doula is to support you in birthing in the way that you desire! Not "advocating" for you but giving you the time and the space to find your own power to make decisions based on what you know is best for you and your intuition.
There's many ways to do that, but normally it is through open conversations about whatever is coming up for you, nourishment, connection, and being present in a sisterly way for this major transformative experience.
