History of The PRIME Collective

Background and Founding

The PRIME Collective, LLC was established in 2014 by community health leaders and professionals whose collective experiences span the field of public health. The principal partners of the PRIME Collective include individuals with experiences in social work, health education, community health and research methodology. Our principal partners are committed advocates in the elimination of health disparities. The PRIME Collective recognizes the value that communities and patients bring to research through their lived experience.

The primary focus areas of the PRIME include Partnerships in Research Integration, Mentoring and Education. Members of the PRIME Collective have served as community experts with UNC TraCS CARES, consultants to multiple academic institutions and partners in novel community based interventions. PRIME members have provided consultation to a variety of researchers about all aspects of the research process, including design of the research question, tailoring intervention materials such as decision aids, stakeholder engagement, subject recruitment, and dissemination of results. Principal partners of the PRIME Collective have also managed many public and philanthropic grants.
