MEgaspin Review - My Pingpongbuddy
A good ball picker is indispensable if you are using many balls during practice. The MPPB is an excellent ball picker. Its ergonomic design and long expandable handle will save your back. You will be able to pick up 50+ balls in a matter of no time. Read my review here.

TT11: What handle to use?
One of common questions asked by beginning table tennis players is: which handle should I use? Well, there are many different types of handles. The standard ones are flared and straight, but some players prefer anatomical or conical. And then there are the more crazy ones like the Donic Dotec handle (see video) or Nittaku's Tenaly handle. Curious? Read my handle article here.
Review: Sanwei ABS 1 star balls
Good quality training balls are indispensable, be it for use with robots, for multi-ball practice, or as an inexpensive go-to club ball. The Sanwei ABS 1-star training balls are a decent option for robot and multiball practice, but I would not use them for match play as too many of them are egg-shaped.
How to assemble your paddle?
Many beginning players don't know how to assemble their custom paddles. Watch this video for a brief tutorial on how to go about it, using the Butterfly Free Chack Pro glue.
Trick shot
It was at the beginning of the Covid-19 lockdown. The club was closed, I had nobody to play with, and was missing table tennis like crazy. USATT had just announced a play-at-home challenge and this was my contribution. Two-handed rally with butter knives, capped off with a between-the-leg shot. It was a fun distraction during stressful times.
Fun Challenge
A good friend of mine, who runs one of regional clubs, posed the "bounce the ball on the handle" challenge to the local TT players during the Covid-19 lockdown. The first video shows my contribution, while the other video is a slightly different take on the original challenge. Can you do better?
RUBBER BOOSTING
Like it or not - Boosting is widespread in table tennis. I have written an article boosting for TT11, which you can read HERE. In this video, I demonstrate how I boost Chinese rubbers like the DHS Skyline 3 provincial blue sponge version.
Covid-19, Masks and table tennis
Covid-19 has impacted all aspects of life, including our ability to play table tennis. Some facilities, including where I play, require players to use masks while playing. I recently evaluated five types of masks and face coverings with an eye to safety and comfort. Want to know which mask I prefer? Check out the video.
