Biography
Dr Issa is a Multi Award-winning, Scholar, Author, Academic, international volunteer. Dr Issa a multifaceted professional with a diverse background. She has held various roles in her career, including positions in banking, academia, and volunteering. Dr Issa began her career as an elementary schoolteacher before transitioning to roles in the banking sector, where she worked for an international bank in positions such as Account Relationship Manager and Training Officer, eventually reaching high-ranking executive positions, being one of the first female employees to be promoted as Executive at the Bank. She also served as a director in an export company and as a financial director. Dr Issa holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Management, with her award-winning thesis focusing on "Ethical mindsets, aesthetics, and spirituality: a mixed-methods approach analysis of the Australian services." Additionally, she has earned multiple master's degrees, including an MBA from the University of Western Australia, a Master of Electronic Commerce from Murdoch University, and a Master of Management Research from the University of Western Australia. Dr Issa also holds diplomas in English and High Secretary. Throughout her career, Dr Issa has been actively involved in academia, developing and teaching courses in Australia and France, in various fields at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Her areas of expertise include business ethics, sustainable development, human resources, international management, and organizational behaviour. Dr Issa continues to engage in ongoing training to stay abreast of the latest technologies and data analysis software. In addition to her academic pursuits, Dr Issa is deeply involved in voluntary work, both locally and internationally. Dr Issa has served in various capacities, including as a webmaster for her community's website and as a delegate to the World Council of Churches, where she has held positions on committees and advisory boards. Dr Issa's contributions extend beyond academia and volunteering. Dr Issa is an accomplished researcher, with a focus on business ethics, sustainability, technology, and social responsibility. Dr Issa has published extensively and is actively involved in research projects on leadership, sustainable development, and other relevant topics. She also serves as an Associate Editor for the Journal Business Ethics, Environment, and Responsibility also Associate Editor for Social Issues in Management of the Academy of Management and is a member of editorial committees for several international journals and conferences. In recognition of her achievements, Dr Issa has received numerous awards and grants, including being named Curtin Business School's 'New Researcher of the Year' in 2010. Dr Issa is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management, and an Emeritus of the Academy of Management. Additionally, Dr Issa holds memberships in various professional organizations and has been appointed to leadership positions (e.g. Central Committee and Executive Committee) within the World Council of Churches. Dr Issa's dedication to her work, her commitment to academia, and her extensive involvement in voluntary activities reflect her passion for making a positive impact in her community and beyond.
