This year #2025 is the #1700th anniversary of the first #Ecumenical Council of #Nicaea. This is a #blog that I wrote back in #December2024 and has now been published by the World Council of Churches -a humble contribution as an #orthodox #nontheologian priest daughter.

I would like to acknowledge that the understanding and familiarity with church affairs I am privileged with, I have gained through the knowledge imparted to me by my father, V. Rev. Fr. Boutros Touma Issa (2025+).

Dad provided input and insights for the talk I delivered during the Central Committee meeting in #2018 during the unity plenary and also contributed to this article when it was originally written in #December2024.

My Dad, V. Rev. Fr. Boutros Touma Issa passed away on January 11, 2025. May God repose his soul and may we benefit from his prayers. Amen.
