About the Owner/
My name is Anne Reiman and I am the owner and head teacher of The Nest Early Learning Center. I have been a full-time licensed educator for grades prek-2nd for the past eight years in Ohio, South Korea and Guatemala. I hold a B.S. in Early Childhood Education from Miami University and a M.Ed. in Special Education from Kent State University. I completed my student teaching in Australia and have participated in various mission trips both locally and abroad. For the past 6 years, I have been studying Reggio-inspired programs and have taught at a school that valued Reggio-inspired learning, STEAM and project-based learning. I have always had a dream to open my own school and that dream is coming true this year! Reggio-inspired programs are rare and Reggio programs that are also Christ-centered are almost non-existent in our area. The Nest will be the only Christ-centered and Reggio-inspired preschool in all of Summit County.
Hi! My name is Katie Collard and I will be teaching specials (Bible, Yoga, Spanish and Fitness/Movement) here at The Nest Early Learning Center! Along with my BA in Spanish from Malone University, I have over 10 years experience in the early education “world” of Summit County. I have been blessed to experience multiple cross cultural experiences including time studying at the University of Barcelona, working at an orphanage in Guatemala, and multiple short term missions trips. I have had various positions in the county with both the English and Spanish speaking population working as a service coordinator for Help Me Grow, a supervisor with Parents as Teachers and a team leader with the Early Childhood Initiative through the Akron Metropolitan Housing Authority. My most recent role, and possibly my favorite, has been that of the stay at home mom to my five incredible girls! My girls have attended Reggio-inspired schooling for 6 years and I am so excited to have the awesome opportunity to be a part of this new Christ-centered program!
