From October 7, 2022.
I never posted this, but it's some concept drawings for a character from that game I was talking about before (that me and Chieboars entered in the contest).
She's a hologram inside a sort of high-tech watch the protagonist obtains, called the Wrist Assistant. She's named WASH, which stands for "Wrist Assistant's System Hologram", pretty simple.
caption:
While I'm at it, here's some art of the protagonist too (done really quickly, but from the same time as WASH's) since I believe I've never talked about him. His name is ETHER, but his design as changed (to the art) since I last updated the sprites. Actually, here's those sprites too, may as well show. Obviously those are just the static poses wwwithout any animation, but I promise they have several animations each. The first one is the very first design for ETHER (I never even did concept art, I just drew that sprite and stuck with it). After a while, I wanted to tweak the art style for the game and make everything double the resolution basically so I could do outlines and whatnot. That's where the second sprite comes from. I still really think they're good, and while the animations could use some tweaking I still think those are really good as well, especially given that I'm an ameature. Man, this makes me want to go back and work on that game again... it's just sooo much work that I don't have the time for.
Update: I added most of his animations to this page, so you can go see him in action:
Gardevoir -
I have a backlog of sketches to finish, but it's hard to find the motivation to work on them.
#Pokemon #Nintendo
I still really like this Gardevoir, especially the hair. It overall turned out really well. I'm very proud of it.
Bunnie (from Animal Crossing) -
I should really get back into the game, I never finished my town.
#AnimalCrossing #AnimalCrossingNewHorizons
Bunnie's always been my favorite villager. The first one I got acquainted to back in New Leaf. She definitely contributes to my love for rabbits. She's so cute.
Shiny Lopunny #Pokemon -
say what you will about me, but lopunny is a rabbit which means it has an objectively good design.
Mhm. Judge me if you will.
Actually, I much prefer regular Lopunny's colours compared to the shiny version. Just looks better, in my opinion.
Braixen #Pokemon -
I kind of rushed this out. I'm exhausted and should have gone to sleep hours ago, but I wanted to get something done beforehand.
Ayyy, Ember is starting to take form. I moved her ear fluff to the side as I couldn't replicate the frontward-facing ears while her head was facing forward.
I sacrificed sleep before work for the sake of drawing this. It was worth it.
Cinderace #Pokemon -
practicing while listening to some nostalgic music, it's so relaxing.
I think this is where I started to actually draw the blue things under Ash's eyes. The lines at the bottom before were supposed to be that but this is better, and I think people would've assumed that black line was an eyelash.
Also, in this drawing she's supposed to be lying down. Doesn't look much like that though, huh?
Lycanroc (Midnight Form) #Pokemon -
I keep staying up way too late drawing, and stuff doesn't get finished as a result (kinda rushed so I could sleep). It beats just not drawing at all though.
He looks pretty cool still. I redrew him later.
Zoroark and Hisuian Zoroark #Pokemon -
They are watching a scary movie together (Zoroark resists dark attacks while Hisuian Zoroark is weak to them).
Thank you for 100 followers, it really means a lot!
I finally hit 100 followers, a historic moment. These two were supposed to be one-offs for this drawing, but recently I've been giving them lore and proper designs.
Sneasel #Pokemon -
I tried drawing the body several times, but it never looked right. I still wanted to post though so I just cropped it. Maybe I will try again another day.
Shiver's debut. I enjoy drawing her, though that doesn't happen often.
Lucario and Wiglett #Pokemon -
less than a month to release, the wait will be long and painful. the hype is intense.
Image 2: I KNOW WHAT YOU DID
I accidently rolled Ash's sleeves down in this drawing :(
Cinderace and Lucario #Pokemon -
I spent the day messing around with effects and gradients. They're taking a selfie together somewhere tropical (maybe Alola?)
I should learn how to do landscapes.
The remake (Jan 24, 2023) of this later is so much better.
Drizzile #Pokemon -
sudden inspiration when I got off work. cool fella.
Still a big fan of this design, I've been debating turning him into a character. His name will be Wake! Already have a drawing planned, but I haven't gotten around to drawing it yet.
Raboot #Pokemon -
I used to do a lot of gradients, I'm not sure if I'll go back.
I think here is where I go back to using a lot of gradients. They actually end up taking priority over actual shading, but I eventually go to using both again.
Cinderace and Lucario #Pokemon -
Big fan of when characters lean/rest on each other. Anyway, this took me the entire day (I had it off) and I am super tired now.
SHIT, I missed a day because this one took so long. I still like the pose they're in, I may redraw it.
Lurantis #Pokemon -
(sprout emoji)
Oh hey, Lurantis is back. This time, clothed (in a random outfit). I kinda want to redesign her and make her into a character, this drawing is still very cute.
Gardevoir #Pokemon -
Me and my pal @Crain_lmfao both drew Gardevoir for fun haha isn't that so wacky? I may or may not be forcing him to play Scarlet/Violet when they release (he does not get a choice).
The Gardevoir is back, and I think this is the best drawing I ever did of her. I named her Sylph but that may be temporary. I prefer her shirt being buttoned up with the spike poking out.
I love doing co-op drawings with crain05.
Cinderace and Lucario #Pokemon -
Happy Halloween, everyone! These two are gettin' all dressed up (Lucario did not try very hard).
This took a while and I had to stay up pretty late to finish it, but I'm happy with how it turned out.
The hands look really good in this one.
