The Mintimus Gallery - Platformer Prototype

Background: A Platformer prototype game me and my friend (@chieboars) made for a project at our morning school. These are the updated sprites I made for the prototype. They are more detailed than the originals, but still mostly unfinished since we stopped working on the project. They are newer, but still super old so if they look bad then there's my excuse.

Extra Sprites

Lives meter, there were only 3 lives in the prototype. I made several versions of the life meter, but I don't really like any of them. This one was just the best so it's what we used.

Some very unfinished detailed ETHER sprites, meant to convey emotion while talking when we were experimenting with text boxes.

Unused boss idea, for when I had more levels in mind (scope creep). Unfinished though, obviously.

Some of the few redesign for ETHER that I made at some point later on, but none of them stuck because the original was better.

Concept Art

Various concept arts for the unused boss. It would have been fought in a greenhouse area, remaining stationary inside a tree. It would've used various plants to attack (like thorny branches, roots, and things falling off of the tree). Its weak spot is the tail. Its ears are also sprinklers for plants in the newest iteration :)

Another boss concept, this one is a worm controlling a worm mech. It was more meant as a silly idea. It would've been fought in a cave system and the mech has a drill on the tail end for burrowing and a laser canon on the front for ranged attacks.
