This website is intended to provide teachers and students with digital resources which will allow classes to learn about the ideas of the Declaration of Independence, and how those ideas have continued to shape America for 250 years. You will find pages that allow you to access digital copies of the banners which are available to bring to your school, digital versions of the documents displayed on the banner, teacher resources for conducting the inquiry activities, and student resources for completing and submitting their project to Constitution Hall's Declaration of Independence competition.
The Civic Engagement Lab is a new project started by Constitution Hall in the Spring of 2026. We are working to develop educational resources that help students participate in authentic historic inquiry activities, and begin to think of themselves as engaged citizens.
Constitution Hall is a place where ordinary people changed history—and where today's students can explore how civic action shapes democracy.
