The Kersbrook Shed is so much more than just woodwork. The Shed aims to give Kersbrook a local creative space that can be used for any type of interest or hobby. Members are encouraged to pursue their own interests by starting new groups, sourcing equipment and materials, opening up for new session times, and getting people together to learn and share.
The office space provides a clean, comfortable environment for a range of social activities, and the workshop provides a large, open area for working on projects and getting stuck into it.
The current interest groups cover (but are not limited to) the following activities. See opening hours for session times.
The Daytime Group are hands-on with woodworking activities, restoration projects and working on Shed improvements to name a few.
The Model Group build and fly RC planes, tinker with RC boats, make static models and 3D print projects. This timeslot is also available for general workshop machinery use.
The Electronics@TheShed Group repair, design and build electronic projects, with a strong focus on learning, sharing and building knowledge within the group.
The Kersbrook Shed should be seen as a community owned meeting place, with great facilities that can be used for a range of activities. Possible suggestions are:
Dog walking or training group
Gardening & outdoors group
Photography, arts or crafts group
Leatherwork or metalwork
Vehicle interest group
Music, poetry or book group
