Reported last month that Councillor Francis Deane called upon Meath County Council to carry out a traffic management report with a view to installing traffic lights at the junction outside Cois Glaisin at Metges Road. The 'report' will be included in the proposed works for 2019.

A 2nd Public Consultation was held before summer to introduce the prefered proposal for a new road to link North and West Navan joining the Kells Road at the roundabout.

The road route proposed will however take land from Blackwater Park which is proving to be controversial and causing objections.
