- A Fantastic step forward was made by Johnstown ABC Boxing Club who finally came home to Johnstown and set up their club in the Athlumney Centre. Now they need local support so Read More. Read the Heart of Our Community article from February to come up to date on what other facilities are locally available to set up a club yourself.
- The cold snap at the start of March brought an impromptu school holiday and the children enjoyed the simple pleasures of snow. We held a Snow Moment Photo Competition and thank you to all who did. Check out the Gallery here.
- We had a big response in readership for the February Article about sending camera and video evidence of antisocial behaviour to a Web App as an alternative to Social Media. Hopefully we won't need it but in case we do Read February Article.

- Opposition appeals to the proposed new apartment building adjacent to Bailis Village have been submitted. We await the verdict on whether the Conditional Planning permission will be overturned. Read February Article. The appeal works both ways and it was interesting to read what Conditions the Developer is arguing against too.
- Pets often go missing so ensure you have your pet micro chipped. Read More
Shopping
- March hosts both Mother's Day, St Patrick's Day and Easter so there's likely a gift, chocolate or something green to be had locally.
- Tara Barbers in the Johnstown Shopping Centre has followed the trend to undergo a refurbishment. We also expect the Centre's facelift to be completed very soon.
Transport
- No news yet on who might have sponsored our Johnstown Roundabout. Read February Article.
- In the planning appeal objecting to the new apartment block proposal it mentions a pedestrian crossing for Metges Road and also traffic lights for the Johnstown Roundabout but no exact details yet.
- Easter school holidays are usually noticeable by the reduction in rush hour congestion but the planned Navan bridge closure for structural repairs will have an impact on us. Read More

- Congratulations to the Taylors Chubbie Chappies and Pink Ladies taking part in Operation Transformation. A special mention to Phillip Warren who completed 50 continuous days of exercise and raised funds for charity. Read More
