This OPTIONAL project can be used to get 30 more points if you need them, or even just to get the class award for completing it! Please send the project to the class email: thehorcruxhandbook@gmail.com. Your subject line should state "Project - HOL Name". For example, mine would be "Project - River Fenwick". Include your HOL name and house at the top of the body of your email, as failure to do so will result in 5 points lost on the project. Attachments will not be opened. Upload your images to photo-sharing websites like Imgur and send me the link.
There are more than 30 points worth of options listed below. You may choose whichever options you'd like to complete, but I can only award you up to 30 points for this project, even if you turn in all options.
The project is due by 11:59 PM HOL time on January/June 15th. No extensions will be granted because there is one due date at the end of the term.
You have four options for this project. Please choose one of them to complete.
Create a graphic of at least six objects (5 points per object) you would like to use as a Horcrux and write descriptions of the objects and why you'd choose them, then upload it to an image-sharing website and send me the link.
In at least 300 words, write the story of making your very own Horcrux. Be as detailed as you'd like, but keep it appropriate for HOL. Some details you may want to include could be your motive for it, the severity of side effects you experienced, if it affected your relationship with those around you, etc.
Voldemort created six "true" Horcruxes, each with their own unique history and facts behind them, which was briefly covered in the lessons. Research the Horcruxes and write about some of their history outside of what was covered in the lessons with at least 50 words for each one (5 points per Horcrux write-up). Alternatively, choose one of the Horcruxes to focus on and write at least 300 words about it.
Herpo the Foul was the first creator of a Horcrux, though not much is known about him or how he achieved it. Draw or write about how you imagine the process went, whether it be about a failed attempt, an accidental discovery of an aspect getting closer to what he hoped to achieve, etc. If you choose to draw it, please also write a 50-word minimum description of your drawing. If you decide to write it, please do so in at least 300 words.
