Feeding your pig is not as simple as the PB&J you pack for yourself in the morning before school. The regimen behind feeding your hog depends on what it needs help fulfilling in relation to supplements and type of feed. This uniqueness prohibits me from being able to provide a "one size fits all" feeding regimen. However, I can explain the different kinds of feed and supplements that I have utilized with my animal and for what reasons*.
Grain feed- this feed maintains the texture of oatmeal once mixed with water (done to ensure hydration along with a water source). Utilized for the first couple of months when your pig is around 100lb.
Show-rite- This pellet-textured feed is better for the latter growth of the animal in aiding with muscle definition and bulking up as approaching the show.
Rite-Muscle- This supplement aides with muscle growth and definition of the animal.
Fat-N-Fluffy- When a pig doesn't show definite signs of making market weight by the desired time, it would be appicable to work this into the diet.
Rite-Factor Multi Species- This improves overall desired show qualities by improving the animal on a cellular level.
Pink 2 Purple Electrolyte- This works as gatorade for your pig to keep their energy up for showing and traveling in the heat.
