The monster is a Wendigo but it's something more between a traditional and the more well known type of Wendigo, references below.

As though the traditional one has adapted to look more like the more well-known one to become more recognizable and invoke more fear.

When Wendigo are created, it’s them being cursed because of there actions out of desperation to survive however this is not the case with this character.

With our monster (Wendigo) when it was human he was a cannibalistic serial killer who war a deer's skull to invoke fear in his victims and to be seen as a monster.

As he became more monstrous the he grew onto the skull usfing his flash to the Bone of the skull Loosening any straps that may have kept it in place at one point or another.

At the back of the dear skull open more so like a traditional mask would be open at the back and so we could have the the straps be able to be blown in the breeze as it's running.

Have the top and bottom jraw of the the dear skull. I like the idea of have being multiple rows of teeth similar to FNAF spring trap. 

I'm thinking no lips on the Human mouth similar to Walking Dead zombies. I'm unsure if he would have added sharp teeth to the front of the jaws the deer skull for ripping and Tearing.

It has cat’s eyes that catch any light creating specs in the dark.

Because the way he was created he retained some basic knowledge making it less animalistic then the more well-known windigo. Giving him the ability to use tools and play with his food.
