This page goes into some of the plans for the shots and how I plan to make stuff.
Working progress.
Shot for day to night.
This allows me the ability to have areas out of focus or to progressively get darker the further away from the camera it is for our night shots giving it that degree of realism.
The character is wearing a red jacket to help distinguish it from the background as well as thematically. He is being chased which I think works styleistically well, even if it isn't exactly realistic for this lighting setup.
One picture for the coat to be Isolated, so it's just the coat.
One made darkens darker to be the part where the focus map got applied to
One that is slightly less dark for the closest area replacement.
Darken around the edges of the frame.
To be added:
Slight lens Deformation to make it seem like it wasn't filmed on an iPhone more like a Nikon camera while adding a little bit of grain maybe messing with the darkness a bit too.
Through the use of normal maps and mixer shaders that have been spaghetti-coded to the rig controls. The muscles will have the ability to automatically Flex with the animator having the overall strength control.
This is seen as vital because the monster is malnourished but strong.
Combine this with the Maya’s muscle system and corrective blendshape to create realistically deforms in the body.
