Chapter #7 Rachel

Reflection on the seventh chapter "Rachel"

Joe appeared at Pindar’s house at noon the next day, Rachel showed him into the study and offered him a cup of coffee, which Joe accepted gratefully. Rachel said one thing to Joe, What person being anxious has accomplished the most in life?

This chapter talked about Rachel and his past, how she came from a poor neighborhood and started working to help support her family when she was only fifteen years old. She worked cleaning houses, fixing gardens, waiting tables, cooking, painting houses, and many more things. She enjoyed the opportunity to survive, save and serve.

So Pindar clarifies to Joe about the three universal reasons for working. Survive - to meet your basic living needs of life. Save - to go beyond your basic needs, and expand your life. And serve - to make a contribution to the world around you.
