If you click on the Points Of Interest/Markers on the google maps and select open in google maps you can get directions to, or view the selections of photos for that place from your smartphone.

I've found the best way to identify a section of track you may wish to discuss is to send me a screenshot via FB messenger with the area in question circled. A better option is to send me co ordinates and/or an alternative GPX.
If sections of the OSM Maps don't have a road or track shown, contact me via messenger and email me a gpx and I can add it to the OSM mapset very easily.

A PLB, Spot, Inreach or Sat Phone should always be carried for remote travel however this app is handy for istances that don't warrant setting off a beacon.
Yes it requires reception to call out obviously.
It also has the "THREE WORDS" function.
A good tip if out of reception is to screenshot the co-ordinates of the incident if you don't have coverage, someone can then still leg it for help while still having the position of the injured person in their photos.
