The process is simple! Just follow these steps:
STEP 1: Join The Global Elite region on NationStates.
STEP 2: Submit your nation's core stats to Comeca via in-game Telegram. The following stats should be included:
Your Nation Name
Defense Forces
Economic Output
Arms Manufacturing Industry
Information Technology
Mining Industry
Intelligence
Scientific Advancement
Sector: Manufacturing
Military & Reserve Forces
All of the above stats can be found by going to http://www.broomdces.com/nseconomy/. From there, locate the "Quicksearch Nation" field at the top left-hand corner of the screen and enter your nation's name. The required stats will be located there.
WARNING! Be honest with the reporting of your stats. Any nation found to have knowingly falsified their stats may result in disqualification from RP battles at the discretion of the Prime Minister, Minister of RP, or Deputy Minister of RP.
Respect the Timeline
Events occur in the order they are posted unless all involved parties agree otherwise.
Retconning or rewriting past events without consent from the Minister of RPG or Deputy Minister of RPG is strictly prohibited.
Declaration Timing
Battles, attacks, and major events begin when the FIRST in-character (IC) declaration is posted, NOT when force reports are submitted.
Delaying the submission of a defensive force report does not constitute delaying the battle and will have no effect on the outcome.
Fair Play
Godmodding, metagaming, or controlling another player's nation, characters, or assets without permission is prohibited.
There may be times in the RP when one nation wants to supply troops or equipment to assist you, leaving them under your jurisdiction/command. This is perfectly acceptable so long as each nation agrees.
Alternate Accounts
Alternate accounts (aka "alt accounts" or "alts") may not be used in battles or major RP elements.
While alternate accounts ARE permitted in the region, they must not be used in such a way that would give your main nation any kind of RP advantage.
Consistency and Clarity
Posts on the Regional Message Board (RMB) must align with established lore, prior events, and agreed mechanics.
Players must clearly separate In-Character (IC) and Out-of-Character (OOC) by using agreed tags, brackets, or threads. For example, when posting something out-of-character, just format your RMB post as follows: "OOC: [the rest of your post goes here]".
Post Quantity, Quality, and Spam
Effort in posts matters more than length; high quality posts are always valued in the RMB.
Posts must be clear, descriptive, and contribute meaningfully to the RP or OOC discussion.
Spam, filler, or disruptive posting is strictly prohibited.
It is encouraged that if you have RP elements you are discussing with a specific alliance, that you do so through in-game Telegram rather than in the RMB, so as to keep the RMB a thread with information and lore that is pertinent to everyone.
Power Balance
No nation is invincible.
All actions must reflect realistic limits and consequences, at the discretion of the Minister of RP and Deputy Minister of RP.
For more specifics on this rule, see section: "Banned RP Elements" below.
Community Standards
Respect fellow players. Everyone is here to have fun and engage with the community. If you have issues or disagreements with another nation, we encourage you to reach out to one of the members of the RP Council (see section: "RP Oversight and Monitoring" below) for mediation.
Harassment, personal attacks, profanity, or hostile behavior will not be tolerated and is strictly prohibited.
If you are experiencing any of these behaviors by another nation, don't hesitate to reach out to one of the RP Council nations for help!
Prohibited Actions
The use, threat, or simulation of Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMDs) - whether they be nuclear, biological, chemical, or radiological - in the RP is strictly prohibited.
Any items, weapons, tools, or equipment that is deemed "untraceable," "invisible," "invincible," etc. are strictly prohibited.
For more specifics on this rule, see section: "Banned RP Elements" below.
Enforcement
Failure to follow these rules will result in a warning.
Repeated offenses may lead to a temporary or permanent suspension from the RP.
Severe violations may result in a regional ban.
Depending on the severity of the rule violation, RP moderators and regional officers may bypass any of the steps above if deemed necessary and appropriate.
The Global Elite takes pride in its robust system for running battle simulations. In order to participate in and help maintain the integrity of these simulations, please adhere to the following rules:
All nations must submit a Force Report for any RP battle that you are planning to be a part of, whether it be offensively (you are attacking another nation(s)) or defensively (you are being attacked). Be as detailed and specific as possible when submitting your Force Report - we use these to conduct the Battle Simulations, and the more detail you provide, the better the simulation can be for your nation's efforts.
FOR OFFENSIVE OPERATIONS ONLY: Prior to submitting the Force Report, you must publicly declare your intent to do so in The Global Elite Regional Message Board (RMB). Use the following format in your post (you can copy/paste this template for easier submission - just replace any red text in the placeholder brackets with your information):
Attacking Nation: [Insert your nation name here.]
Allies of the Attack: [Insert any nation(s) who are assisting you. If there are none, leave this blank. Only nations that are listed here will be counted.]
Target Nation: [Insert your target nation here.]
Location of Attack: [This should be the general IRL geographic area.]
Tag: [nation]Comeca[/nation], [nation]Bekenstein[/nation], and [nation]Synethea[/nation]
FOR DEFENSIVE OPERATIONS ONLY: Once an attack is declared on your nation, you will need to issue a similar post to The Global Elite Regional Message Board (RMB). Use the following format in your post (you can copy/paste this template for easier submission - just replace any red text in the placeholder brackets with your information):
Defending Nation: [Insert your nation name here.]
Allies of the Defense: [Insert any nation(s) who are assisting you. If there are none, leave this blank. Only nations that are listed here will be counted.]
Defending Against: [Insert your target nation here.]
All parties must submit Force Reports within 48 hours of initial attack acknowledgement.
Battle simulations are based on submitted Force Reports - so be as thorough and detailed as possible!
If you do not submit a Force Report AND if you are not mentioned as either an offensive or defensive ally on an RMB declaration, your nation will not be included in the battle.
Once an attack is declared and a Force Report is submitted, it cannot be edited or withdrawn.
Falsifying any stats is strictly prohibited. Any occurrence of stat falsification will result in disqualification from RP battles and potentially a ban from the RP.
In order to maintain a fair and fun atmosphere, certain items are considered banned within the RP - even if your nation may or may not have them. Any Force Report that contains an item included on this list or otherwise in violation of the RP rules will be automatically removed from the Force Report at the discretion of the RP administrators. While we will do our best to reach out regarding any rule violations and inform you of changes that must be made, this cannot always be guaranteed given the scale and frequency of battles.
The following items are considered banned within the RP:
Weapons of Mass Destruction/Nuclear Weapons: Defined as any weapon capable of causing widespread death, serious injury, or significant damage to infrastructure and the environment, typically on a massive scale. This category includes nuclear, biological, and chemical weapons, which are distinguished by their potential to kill indiscriminately and affect civilian populations and ecosystems.
Example of a Banned Item: Employing an Intercontinental Ballistic Missile that can wipe out an entire city, town, or nation.
Example of an Acceptable Item: A precision missile that can strike at enemy troop formations, helping to break their lines.
Overly-Futuristic Weapons: Defined as anything that would require technology only seen in far-future sci-fi movies, this includes things like lasers, massive orbital battle stations, “nation-killer weapons”, spaceship fighters, etc. Near-futuristic technology is generally acceptable so long as it is within reason. This would include things like autonomous vehicles, stealth drones, smaller scale railgun/energy weapons, etc.
Example of a Banned Item: Having a fleet of spaceships with laser guns and proton torpedoes.
Example of an Acceptable Item: Autonomous submarine fleet to assault and disrupt enemy carriers and destroyers.
“Invisible” Troops, Weapons, and Equipment: Defined as any troop, weapon, or equipment piece that is completely untraceable to any form of detection. It is possible to have stealth technology, but even stealth technology IRL is detectable through certain means. Your nation’s tech stats need to reflect this level of advancement, however.
Example of a Banned Item: Invisible tanks that cannot be seen through conventional optics or real-world technological imaging devices.
Example of an Acceptable Item: Stealth drones that can be detected through thermal RADAR imaging.
“Invincible” Troops, Weapons, and Equipment: Defined as any troop, weapon, or equipment piece that is completely immune to taking damage and/or being destroyed through conventional means.
Example of a Banned Item: An army of mechanized infantry made of a rare metal that makes them impenetrable to all bullets, explosives, and other damage.
Example of an Acceptable Item: An army of mechanized infantry that is resistant (not immune) to small arms fire.
Using More Troops than NSEconomy States You Have: While there may be times you wish to RP having larger conscription or a larger standing army, this gets tricky when it comes to fairness of RP. Therefore, for the sake of RP when at war, no nation may claim to have more active and reserve troops than is displayed on NSEconomy. (See the Force Report form to learn how to check this for your individual nation.)
Example of a Banned Item: Your nation has a population of 1 billion, NSEconomy says your military should be no greater than 100 million, but you employ 200 million war droids in an overseas invasion.
Example of an Acceptable Item: Your nation has a population of 1 billion, NSEconomy says your military should be no greater that 100 million, and you deploy 50 million for an overseas invasion.
*This list is subject to change at any time. If you have any questions, reach out to Synethea, Bekenstein, or Comeca via in-game Telegram.
The Global Elite has several nations that help moderate any ongoing RP efforts to ensure fairness and fun, as well as to address any rule violations. Those nations comprise The Global Elite RP Council and are as follows:
The Empire of Comeca: Prime Minister
The Kingdom of Synethea: Minister of Roleplaying Games
The Federal Republic of Bekenstein: Deputy Minister of Roleplaying Games
The Eternal Holy Empire of Permagon: Minister of Interior Affairs, RP Map Coordinator
Comeca, Synethea, and Bekenstein can all assist you with any RP questions and dispute mediation. Permagon can assist you with adding your nation to the RP map and changing borders (when applicable).
