P.S. Yes, another name for this article could be the origin story of the BFB Pencil. However, I think BFDI giving Pencil PTSD summarizes exactly the type of experience she had on the show. From start to finish it was a complete hellhole.
P.P.S. The answer for the previous question is as follows.
Ami is Pencil
Eliza is Ruby
Julie is Match
Leann is Bubble
Scout is Book
Twila is Ice Cube
P.P.P.S. As I am wrapping up these articles, I do wish I could have written on a few topics like the Maroon ball or the complete destruction of the Squishy Cherries, those would have made for good articles.
P.P.P.P.S. I don't know why Pencil is always falling off of stuff, and always personally witnessing Bubble die. But the fact it is consistently her who endures this stuff makes this much more entertaining to think of.
P.P.P.P.P.S. Hi everyone, Alien here! If you made it to the end of the article, then congrats, you made it! I laughed at some of the jokes overall, such as Ice Cube being a communist and German Rocky. These last few articles have been EXTREMELY long, and honestly, we had so much to say about Pencil, she was possibly the most dynamic character in the entirety of BFDI and BFDIA, with so many jokes, interactions with other characters, and honestly. She felt like a real person, one who felt relatable and connected with viewers. She was honestly the star of the first and second seasons of BFDI. Unfortunately, by the time the 4th season, Battle for BFDI, came along, Pencil got altered SO MUCH to the point that her personality got ruined and felt like a vastly different character. She become a giant shadow of her former self. As someone who started on BFB 1, I saw Pencil be a psychotic bitch who deserved her early elimination and to never be seen again, even in the BFB finale. When going back to previous episodes and seeing Pencil act completely different, as a character with a dynamic personality, several interactions with characters that felt both funny and how we would react in similar situations, it was jarring to see her personality change so much to the point where she got ruined. She got written out of the season in the most unforgivable way possible. As I looked back on the entire BFDI series as a whole, it came to me that characters are written out of the seasons in ways that make them assholes. With Pencil, it might have been the Huang Twins' most ruthless and infamous instance of writing out a character in the entire series, turning her into a psychopath with no redeeming qualities, as early as the very first episode of BFB. Maybe one day they might explain in an episode what the hell happened to her between IDFB 1 and BFB 1, as it felt so unnatural, but for now, these past few articles have taken a look at the interactions and scenes that Pencil fans will always enjoy. Even though I started on BFB 1, I'll remember Pencil as a character who has so much personality, and ultimately as a character that has endured so much shit, that's it's touching to the viewers as a whole, and connects with them on a personal level.
P.P.P.P.P.P.S. I know that most of my readers are likely sick of the Pencil articles. I know that a lot of you would probably want to hear about any other contestant on the show. And I'm sorry for that, It can't be fun seeing the same character over and over again. I know I experienced this with thefunny115 when Mario would consistently write about Chris Daugherty. I'd always roll my eyes every time I saw his face appear in the article. Since it felt like unnessecary fanfare. But I've since come to the conclusion that there is a reason Chris was being celebrated so much. And it's very similar to the reasons I celebrated Pencil.
Part of her massive spotlight was due to her being my favourite contestant of all time. Another part was because she had the most lines of any contestant in the first three seasons. Another part was as Alien mentioned; a pretty huge deal in BFDI. Being one of the only complex characters. But that's not the reason I write about her so much. As a old school fan who is writing this website for all of the new and old fans of BFDI, and as someone who wants to see the older seasons represented better. I feel it's pretty important that I give a huge spotlight to one of the biggest names in classic BFDI, who's name has faded into obscurity with recent times. I feel it was really important if I was going to be championing the older seasons by helping commemorate one of the biggest, if not THE biggest character assassinations in object show history. For such a beloved character to be left splayed out on the cutting room floor seems wrong without some kind of obituary. So in summation, a large inspiration to write this article was based on the idea of giving an obituary to one of the greatest gems of classic BFDI.
