Group therapy involves working with a psychologist within a group setting where members are invited to share their own experiences, and together, learn new strategies to cope and process life events. Typically, groups meet once a week over the course of 10-12 weeks. Additionally, group sizes can range from 8-12 individuals, but can also vary depending on group type and availability. Group therapy is a wonderful way to connect with others and gain different perspective in a safe, inviting setting. It is also a more affordable alternative to individual therapy; however, group therapy may not be suitable for everyone. Appropriate fit for group therapy will be discussed prior to when the group starts.
