PART 1: NATURE
Art with Maria Pape
Classroom Teachers: Ambrie Scribner and Elizabeth Scattie
2nd grade, Ochoa Community School
Maria's art classes include cultural and ecological learning about Ecuador and the Galápagos Islands. Maria brings a passion for animals, plants, and places of her home country. She emphasizes use of color and textures in her workshops with children, encouraging each child to find their own personal style along the way.

Trenton's art classes highlight the natural world, scientific exploration, and close observation. He uses his own plants and pets, including lizards and fish, as live subjects to inspire the students. This year, Trenton taught drawing workshops on leaf shapes, fish, shapes and textures of seashells, and more!

Faith's art classes emphasize step-by-step, follow along drawing, with ample room for students to add their own twist of color! Animals, especially her two chatty parakeets which students love to see on screen, provide inspiration for many of her art workshops with children!
