I apologize in advance dear readers, for the dark and disturbing things to be discussed in today's issue. For today, we are not focused on the bright and airy matters of love, today's corner is a sinister one. This corner is full of twists and turns, cobwebs and chains, dust and smoke. Today in the Dragon’s corner we will be discussing the sinister truths behind our school. Today we’ll be discussing...
I’ve been undercover at this school for several years now, all for the purpose of gathering information. While I can’t disclose my organization, ISB has been on their radar for some time now. It’s finally time for the truth to come out. Tighten your tinfoil hats, because in this issue you’re going to wish you had them on this whole time.
Now stay with me here. I know just as well as you do that all the dragons are dead, and have been so for thousands of years. However, people always seem to forget that their ghosts are still around. The conclusion I have reached is a grim one. I believe that the Dragon mascot costume is a conduit for an ancient ghost, and that in plain sight, it begins to execute its slow machinations, one by one. But you probably don’t believe me do you, I bet you’re planning to leave me just like my wife. Don’t you dare! You’ve opened Pandora’s box, and now... you better be prepared for the horrors within.
I’d say most of us are familiar with this fact, it was one of their most recognizable traits. “Good old dragons” they'd say, “sitting atop their pile of treasure. Dragons need treasure just like they need stupid travelers to eat. And what is the IB? That’s right, it's a business. A business designed to make money like any other. As we all pay our student fees and receive our mediocre scores, DeMarcus bolsters his treasure hoard coin by coin. This is why he resides at an IB school, and not a public school. He would be exorcized in the Catholic school system, and he knows that a private school would put an unwanted spotlight on him. Without sports, he doesn’t have to make appearances at games, let alone appear in public. Most parents have never even seen him before. It’s all that he wants, a nice low profile where he can rake in the cash.
Now while he may not want to out himself, this does not stop DeMarcus from fulfilling his lust for greatness. He’s pulled many strings to get ISB to be number one, and through that placement, he derives the sense of accomplishment that allows him to continue his conquest. He believes all other schools to be inferior, after all, what is a beaver, a horse, to the might of a dragon?
