The Launch Project

My table set up at the Clark Collective.

For my Launch Project, I launched Demoiselle Tattoos: a business looking to provide tattooed individuals and tattoo admirers with hand-drawn, one-of-a-kind flash pieces that depict various forms of media for decorative and body-modification purposes. I had been drawing flash pieces for myself and close friends over the summer of 2023 and hoped to bring this creative endeavor to the Clark Collective.

Total Sales: $35

Net Profit: $11.26

Custom designs that I created for a collaboration with the student-run Instagram account @clarku_wonderfulspaces

My roommate, Natalie Hoang, and I at our first appearance at the Clark Collective. She is the owner of her own small business, @nhoang.jpeg , taking headshots and selling prints of her photography.

A custom flash design that I created based on songs by alt-rock band The Smashing Pumpkins for a customer.

I intend on continuing this small business in hopes of deepening my connections within the Clark Community and the surrounding Worcester area. I also want to continue using the social media account associated with the brand to showcase the work of as many female tattoo artists as possible. This project has gifted me the opportunity to bond with so many people over a shared love for the art of tattooing and I want to expand this growing network of passionate individuals as much as possible as I move forward in my academic journey at Clark.  It has been incredibly fulfilling for me as an entrepreneur, getting to be proactive in starting a small business from the ground up. This was a truly unique experience and I am so grateful that the college offers such a space for its students to be as wildly creative as they wish.
