JOYLEEN RAO
I am passionate about guiding others through movement as a path to self-discovery and self-healing. My journey began in 2013 in California when I experienced 5Rhythms for the first time. As the teacher spoke about Gabrielle Roth’s message—"If you have a body, you are a dancer"—I was deeply moved to tears. In that moment, I knew I wanted to share this practice to the world.
This realisation led me to eight years of devotion and intensive training, culminating in my certification in December 2021. Since 2015, I have contributed to the growth of the 5Rhythms dance community in Geneva, Switzerland, co-creating events, bringing in teachers, and leading sessions as a Space Holder.
I love creating transformative spaces where we can reconnect with the many colours of our soul, freeing ourselves—step by step—from the judgments and limitations we have unconsciously accepted. I believe we are here to reunite with ourselves and the Great Mystery through movement, breath, and the expression of who we truly are.
