Come experience a unique dance session each week, where music, movement and community come together to create a space for freedom, connection and expression.
We are a collective dedicated to free and conscious dance, offering a variety of practices including 5Rhythms®, Open Floor and Ecstatic Dance.
With different facilitators, themes and approaches each week, we invite you to discover the many facets of conscious dance as a moving meditation and a practice rooted in the body.

Certified as a 5Rhythms teacher since 2021, Joyleen has been dedicated to the development of the dance community in Geneva since 2015 and in Nyon since 2020. For nearly 10 years, she has been producing movement practice facilitators every week and also offers her own sessions. She is the founder of the Dancing Tribe, created in 2023. Joyleen loves creating spaces for transformation, accessing the multicolored palettes of our souls by fostering a deep connection to ourselves through dance.
Passionate about dance and well-being, I am a therapist, Ecstatic Dance DJ, and Dance Improvisation facilitator using Body-Mind Centering as a tool. I also lead cacao ceremonies, offering sacred spaces for consciousness evolution and healing. My approach aims to create transformative spaces where the body, mind, and soul connect, providing people the opportunity to discover themselves and flourish.
As a certified 5Rhythms® Teacher and a graduate in several bodywork techniques, yoga, and breathwork, Griscia aims to impart the value of living as authentically as possible. According to him, the regular practice of conscious and free dance is what enables each of us to reconnect with our spontaneity, mental and physical flexibility, and the mysteries of life. He also guides individuals to find their foundation in their being as a professional coach.
Certified in Open Floor movement practice, Maude is a lover of Life and Free Dance. She has been dancing since she was young, and upon discovering free and conscious dance through 5Rhythms 15 years ago, Maude reconnected with her childlike spirit and freedom. Her mission is to create bridges between places, people, and energies. She will be your space holder for your Open Floor dance explorations.
Passionate about dance since childhood, she discovered 5Rhythms and Contact Improvisation at the age of 20 in South Africa. Since then, she has explored various forms of free-form dance with teachers from 5Rhythms, Open Floor and Life Art, while also training in improvisational theatre and weaving bridges between these practices. Inspired by movement as a tool for exploration and transformation, she now creates spaces that invite each person to deepen their connection with themselves and others, and rediscover the joy of fully inhabiting their body.
Ph.D. in Biology, professional coach and movement facilitator, Géraldine is the founder of Awene and is passionate about life energy, the body and what moves us. Through Open Floor, she invites us to explore movement as a powerful path to reconnect with ourselves, creating space for freedom and transformation. Her work is rooted in the belief that true freedom comes from authentically expressing who we are, while belonging to a tribe makes us stronger. Her mission is to create a safe and playful space where everyone can be fully themselves and move through life with greater grounding, freedom and creativity.
I dove into dance over ten years ago with as much apprehension as a cat about to be put in water—and five minutes later, smiling from ear to ear, I had rediscovered my greatest medicine: movement. Not just any movement, but the movement that moves us—the one beyond thought, that carries us beyond ourselves and reveals who we truly are. For over fifteen years, I have supported people on their personal journeys, sometimes feeling stuck and longing to reconnect with the life within them. At À l’école des arbres, I explore this movement in its many forms: energetic, emotional and danced.
An ethnologist by training, Sara has been an accredited 5Rhythms® teacher since 2018 and a body-oriented therapist, working with touch therapy, energy healing and Akashic Records readings. Guided by the path of the soul, she gently yet powerfully invites you to explore your inner depths, supporting a sacred journey of transformation where the wonder of being alive becomes fully embodied.

Arunji creates musical journeys where dance, celebration and meditation meet. Drawing inspiration from Tantra, 5Rhythms, Contact Improvisation and Gaga, he weaves a rich diversity of sounds and emotions into sensitive, dynamic sets that invite the body to move freely, the spirit to expand and emotions to transform. As an Ecstatic Dance DJ and facilitator, he hosts retreats and festivals from Ibiza and Barcelona to Almería and Goa. Each of his sets is an invitation to explore authenticity, reconnect with oneself and surrender to the transformative power of movement.

A dancer, architect and certified 5Rhythms® teacher since 2007, Guillaume draws inspiration from the creative and healing power of both human beings and nature. His dance has taken him around the world, from the Moroccan desert and the beaches of Corsica and Ibiza to Iceland’s wild landscapes and the forests of Finland. Enriched by Improvisational Dance, Contact Improvisation, meditation and Tantra, his teaching is gentle, clear and creative, offering a safe and inspiring space to deepen our relationship with ourselves, with others and with the living world.
We come together to practice Conscious Movement practices.
We are drug- and alcohol-free.
We are adults responsible for our own wellbeing.
We are aware of and respect each others’ bodies and boundaries.
We touch only with mutual consent.
We dance barefoot, in grippy socks or soft dance shoes.
We avoid synthetic perfumes.
We turn our phones off.
We do not take photos/video or use Shazam.
We communicate using movement not words.
We participate, we do not spectate.
We start and end our dance journey together.
These activities are open to everyone, without distinction of age or level. No need to know how to dance or to have any experience!
Just come in comfortable clothing (sports or yoga wear) and with a water bottle. We dance barefoot or in indoor shoes. Children and teenagers are welcome as long as they can remain silent for two hours.
*For the cacao, we recommend coming on an empty stomach or with a light stomach (e.g., drink a fruit juice) in order to fully enjoy the beneficial effects of the cacao (opening of the heart, a sense of expansion, joy, emotional release, etc.). We will start at 7pm.
