Enquiries regarding specific competitions:

The CSSA committee have had many conversations during the summer holidays to discuss the competition programme for 2020/21. Usually our programme begins immediately in September: starting with an AGM, followed shortly after by the netball league and X-country. Most National Governing Bodies have now approved the start of sports competitions for children (with advice on how to mitigate COVID-19 risks).

However, on the first day of term, we understand the pressure schools are under and feel it is essential to give schools time to settle back in, to get to grips with the new ways of working, before formally offering any events. We have pencilled in fixture dates for the rest of the year - with an ambition to start the usual programme as soon as practicable.

In the meantime we have surveyed all Camden Primary schools about participation and types of events and the CSSA committee will meet on 11th September to analyse the feedback.

The Camden Schools Sports Association is the most active primary schools sports association in London. It is run on a non-profit making basis by dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers, in partnership with Camden Council (Sport and Physical Activity Section). We provide opportunities for children to participate in a wide range of competitive and inclusive sports competitions - currently (2019-20) we offer 11 different sports and 56 sports events at venues throughout the borough.

We provide high quality competitions (leagues and one-off tournaments) the winners of which represent Camden at the London School Games. In addition, we provide opportunities for children of all abilities to experience competitive sport in a friendly and supportive setting. An equal number of boys and girls participate in all our competitions.
