Important note 

The committee has decided to extend the deadline for the two awards (John Morse Student Award and Bae Yeon Jae Scholarship for Young Hydrobiologists) for the ASH 2026 Conference in order to encourage broader participation and provide additional opportunities for potential applicants. 

Therefore, the application deadline for the John Morse Student Award for graduate students and the Bae Yeon Jae Scholarship for Young Hydrobiologists (under the age of 50) has been extended to May 31 2026. Applications should be submitted directly to the ASH: asianhydrobiology@gmail.com and LOC: ash2026mongolia@gmail.com

With the generous support of the society’s president, sponsors and academic societies, the Local Organizing Committee is able to provide scholarships for outstanding graduate students. Travel expenses (round-trip airfare) are currently available for three students. ASH will also provide five additional travel grants (approximately USD 500 each), which will be supported through part of the ASH membership fee.

• Members of ASH or full-time registrants of ASH 2026

• Submission of documents

• CV

• Outline/abstract of one’s current research plan (up to 1 page maximum, free format)

Recipients of the ASH Travel Grants announcements

After the decision from the ASH award committee is finalized, announcements for the recipients of the ASH Travel Grants will be sent via personal email by May 15, 2026.
