Muhamad Shirwan Abdullah Sani is a PhD holder in Halal Products Science from Universiti Putra Malaysia. He was appointed as the registered chemist of the Department of Chemistry, Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, Malaysia between 2006 - 2013. He served as an expert witness for environmental enforcement cases and involved in the method development of oil spill analysis during his employment in the department. He is actively involved as the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM) and Human Resource Development Fund (HRDF)-certified trainer for halal assurance system, and an auditor and consultant for halal-related activities in Japan, South Korean and Taiwan. He has been engaging as a trainer for halal laboratory testing in COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus, Pakistan. Presently, he serves as a registered chemist of Malaysian Institute of Chemistry (L/1643/5200/07) and Head of Laboratories for International Institute for Halal Research and Training (INHART), International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). Siti Nurhidayah Sharin pursued her first degree in Bachelor of Science (Chemical Sciences) at Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) and had her internship at Malaysian Nuclear Agency, conducting a small project on tracing radionuclide Cesium-137 in seawater. She holds a Master’s degree in Halal Products Science from Universiti Putra Malaysia and her main research interest focuses on traceability of stingless bee honey origin. She equipped herself with a comprehensive understanding and practical on statistical analyses related to metabolites throughout her postgraduate study. She also received certifications in Professional Halal Executive (JAKIM.HPB/SPLH/HE:2019-011-136) and Food Handler (LPM0004966) to complement her knowledge and practices of halal products. Her ongoing data science courses include Big Data Analytics 101, Mastering Big Data Analytics, and Data Science and Analytics.
