An interdisciplinary project in which the school subjects of Language, History, Geography, Maths, Music and Foreign Languages have a lot to say. To carry out the activities envisaged in our project, teachers will learn new teaching methods, which will be put into practice, for example cooperative learning techniques, multiple intelligences approach, the flipped classroom, thinking routines (also called visible thinking), problem based learning and also the implementation and integration of ICTs (information and communication technologies) in the classroom. Through seminars, and social networks, and direct contact and cooperation, teachers will exchange good practices to help them implement these methodologies at their organizations.
The project will help students learn more about the history and significance of castles on the banks of the Danube in the past, present and future. With this project, we will: introduce the idea of United Europe, which began in the Middle Ages, examining the influence of Medieval culture and lifestyle on future trends and ages. In the historic cities and fortresses located today along the Danube Road, we discover a common history of continuity.
One of the objectives of our activity is equality. To administer this principle the activity will absorb those participants who face situations diminishing their educational chances. There are about 60 students falling into this group presenting with cultural differences, bread-line situation, educational difficulties, behavior problems.
By creating models, posters, presentations, films, artworks, plays, photos, organizing happenings, they will use innovative work methods and new digital technologies, as well as familiarize with interesting professions.
As a result of our project will be created: a traveling exhibition of photos and castles of castles; a guide book about the landmarks along the Danube River and opportunities for tourism; 2 happenings; 6 training seminars; 8 workshops; a book of literary works.
