Green Smock

• Made to official pattern only and to be 13" (32.5cm) from​ the ground when wearing tap shoes

• We have our own specially dyed green fabric which is provided to make the smock

• Smocked front to the individual's design

• Two rows of purple ribbon at the bottom edge

• A strip of purple modesty ribbon 'to prevent the smock blowing open in windy conditions'.

• Additional ribbons and decoration as laid down in the constitution

• Badges can be worn according to the constitution.

White Dress

• The white dress is made of cotton, a zip to the back and gathered sleeves

• Made to official pattern only and 9" (23 cm) from the ground.

Hat

Our straw hats are decorated with flowers, real or artificial, around the brim in the team colours of green and purple. Ribbons can also be attached to the hat, trailing down the back.

Petticoat and Bloomers

White cotton Petticoat or Bloomers shape and fill out the dress and when dancing, helps the fabric to flow:

Victorian style. Bloomers to be just below knee - not visible below dress. May be trimmed with green or purple ribbon. Neither the underskirt nor bloomers should show below the white dress when standing

Cardigans

The cardigans are provided by the team and remain at all times the property of the Belles.

The cardigans were supplied with funding from the National Lottery.

Black Tights

• Opaque 70 denier

• Hold-ups may be worn
  but with bloomers

Black Shoes

• Tap Shoes

• Soft, flat shoes, preferably with a bar to secure the bell pads for use indoor and on rough ground.

• Bell Pads are provided by the team and remain the property of the Belles.
