The Bobo Project's name is a reference to the Bobo doll experiment. This psychological study was conducted by Albert Bandura, and showcased how children learn aggressive behaviors from adults, and the impact that adults have on children's actions. The experiment helped support the Social Learning Theory, which states that people learn new behaviors, attitudes, and beliefs through the observation of others. This theory partially explains the prevalence of addiction, as many addictions stem from seeing others use the substance/perform the behavior that led to the addiction.
