We host seminars about addiction, both to adults and children alike. We explain the effects of addiction, ways to spot early signs of addiction, and the power of choice. Additionally, we showcase the social struggles that recovering addicts face, misconceptions about addicts, and how to help those struggling with addiction recover without judging or demeaning them.
We write articles about the psychology and neurobiology of addiction, and the ways in which it effects a person's brain. We also write articles about the ways in which someone's socioeconomic status can make them more prone to falling victim to addiction, and the reasoning behind that. These articles are made in hopes of establishing addiction, both substance-related and behavior-relate, as being complex disorders rather than a sign of a moral failing or a lack of self control. Additionally, we hope that these articles help spread information and knowledge to those who are interested in the science and sociology behind addiction.
We host fundraising events, in which we raise money to help fund our organization, therefore allowing us to continue our mission. Additionally, we also host fundraising events where all profits earned go to various charities that focus on addiction. Besides fundraising events, we will also eventually start accepting donations on our website.
