The Bioptic Review was started by L. Rose in 2018, but has evolved into a poetry journal of its own. It continues to evolve and change form, with the different authors it publishes, and with the new influences that it gathers each year.

Our writers have published three issues of eclectic poetry, prose, and art, starting with Light & Dark (2018), intensifying with Rage & Peace (2019), and expanding across the globe with North & South (2020). This year's double theme is Open & Closed (2021) in anticipation for cultural venues to reopen after many closings of theaters, venues, cinemas, and other places of culture during the current pandemic.
