During check-in week, or maybe the week after, you will take a PFT. you must get a 235 to pick up. However, sometimes companies will have too many people, and some people with above a 235 may be rolled to the next company. Some companies will exhaust all other eliminations (injuries, personal, etc.) before eliminating based on PFT score. The next week you'll run a CFT. During the last month of TBS, you'll also take a PFT/CFT, and you'll need a 235 to pass.
Sometimes your PFT/CFT will count toward your grade, and for your official MOL score. I picked up in March, which is PFT season. Therefore, my PFT counted in MOL, and was counted for a grade. I ran the CFT, but it was not counted for either. The last month of TBS was during CFT season. So even though I needed to pass the PFT to pass TBS, it did not count for my grade and did not go into MOL. The CFT did. If that makes sense.
