One of the key tools of survival in the west, guests may purchase one of four types of revolver at a number of gunsmiths across the Five States. Of course, these aren't actual weapons - they're simply light guns that work similarly to how the wands at Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley do. After purchasing a gun, guests may use them at various shooting galleries stationed around the park, or simply shoot targets that have been set up throughout the wilderness. Guests may also duel other guests, if they're so inclined, though that's just for fun more than anything.
A key feature of the firearms is their customizability. Guests may purchase different grips in a variety of different woods and (fake) minerals. Guests may also get the barrel engraved for further personalization. These customizations only take an hour, so it's more than worth it to make the perfect six-shooter for you.

Also purchasable is a variety of un-customizable revolvers modeled after some of the most famous gun-slingers and outlaws in the west, from Jim "Boy" Calloway to Dutch Van Der Linde himself.
Horses are rentable from a number of stables and livery. Of course, these are no real horses. In partnership with Boston Dynamics, robotic horses may be rented to ride the trails. Using an advanced GPS system, these horses are designed to stay on pre-made trails throughout the park, ensuring safety through some of the harsher landscapes. Guests' park ticket is also paired with the horse, making it so only the guests with the ticket its' paired to may ride it. There will be no horse rustling in this wild west.
While the park is very much walkable, the horses make it easier to cover more ground more quickly, without having to wait for a train or stagecoach, while providing an incredibly unique way to experience the park.
--------------------
Different types of horses are also available in different towns and regions. If you're in the market to rent a horse, make sure to shop around and make sure that you're getting the right horse for you.
Stop in any general store and pick up a pack of gum to get a trio of Wilderness Cards. These cards expand the world of Red Dead Redemption, depicting the people and places of the region, each with a short description on the back. There are four sets of cards to collect. Of course, a complete set of cards can be exchanged for prizes at one of a fence, so it's more than worth it to collect them all.
Purchase a map from a general store, or, if you're lucky, get one off of one of the citizens of whatever town you may find yourself in. Though they're difficult, these treasures are more than worth it to find. Compete against the other guests in the park to find the treasure first. It'll definitely be worth your while.
