Town twinning is a legal or social agreement between cities (or other administrative entities) to jointly promote cultural and / or commercial ties. Twinning was originally conceived to encourage trade and tourism through friendship, understanding and the feeling of belonging to a common project for integration and democracy, separating our differences.
This type of agreement has multiplied since the late 1990s from the last century as a strategic international link between member cities.
Zuera in 2016 launched the youth movement alternating one year at each site, 1st Trescore and then Ramonville. Now it is tried to unite in Zuera to the three towns and A-twin looks for to promote that initiative of the city council.
In 2017, through the European Project "Learning from Volunteering" of the "Europe for Citizens" program, it allowed a meeting of 115 citizens, reaching 38 participants from Ramonville Saint-Agne (France), 27 participants from Trescore Balneario (Italy ) and 50 participants from Zuera (Spain).
Discussions were held on organizations, organizational needs and institutional support.
